This fantastic park offers a trail system that’s well-maintained with a few challenging hills, a wooden walking bridge, and access to a picnic area. You’ll find several shorter trails, which are ideal for a quick visit, or you can embark on a longer trek and enjoy canoeing or kayaking during your stay.

Wilton Slopes features a small-boat launch for paddle boats and fishing, lots of parking, and a picnic shelter for families and small groups. You’ll find this park is conveniently located off the NC-96 overpass, with connections to the river and paddle trail. It’s the perfect outdoor space to spend the day or hike for a few hours in the afternoon.

Granville Athletic Park

Granville Athletic Park is a terrific spot for outdoor sports, hiking, and picnics. It’s a popular place for a variety of events and activities, with facilities that include tennis courts, athletic fields for baseball and soccer, paved paths for walking, and a venue available for rental to host parties and special events. It’s the ideal park for families, with a playground and water spray pool. There are restrooms, an information booth, and an amphitheater for live performances.

Berea Walking Loop

Berea Walking Loop is a great spot to take a quick walk, hike, or break during your drive through the Oxford area. This trail is paved and offers access seven days a week so that you can explore this area on foot, bicycle, or inline skates. It’s also the ideal place to enjoy a break with the family and a popular place for dog walking and jogging.
