Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are a lot of options when it comes to choosing your trim level. They all look pretty similar, but each has distinct traits and prices. The XL is the basic model with standard features and performance. It has all-wheel- and front-wheel-drive configurations, seating for five people, 17-inch steel wheels, and basic interior features such as cloth seats. This trim level has five color options.
The XLT adds some more flair with 10 color options for both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, including Red Hot or Shadow Black, which makes it stand out in the crowd. It seats five people comfortably with space for cargo behind them. Its exterior also gets an upgrade with 17-inch alloy wheels while maintaining basic amenities inside, like power exterior mirrors and heated seats.
The Lariat gives you everything that makes the XLT great, along with more advanced features, including 18-inch alloy wheels and improved ground clearance. You get 10 color options for this car.
Engine (Power)
The engine for the Maverick is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder standard engine with a CVT transmission. You can also opt for an EcoBoost option with a 2-liter four-cylinder, but it's only available on demand. The standard engine produces 162 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, while the EcoBoost option offers 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 2023 Maverick gets a zero to 60 mph time of 7.7 seconds and has a 1,500-pound payload capacity. If you need more than that, an optional towing package can get you up to 4,000 pounds of pulling power. Regarding fuel economy, the Maverick gets 42 mpg city and 33 mpg highway for the hybrid option. The non-hybrid variant gives you 29 mpg highway and 22 mpg city.
Interior
The 2023 Maverick has an extensive list of standard features, including a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and B&O stereo SiriusXM satellite radio. Safety Features
A few safety features are worth noting in the 2023 Ford Maverick, including automated emergency braking and lane departure warning. If you're not paying attention to the road and don't react in time for an obstacle or other car, the car will automatically slow down with its brakes. The same happens if you drift out of your lane without signaling or put too little space between yourself and another car ahead of you on the road. Adaptive cruise control means that as long as there's no traffic ahead, the Maverick will keep itself at a constant speed. If someone signals and moves into your lane, the Maverick will automatically slow down to allow them access before accelerating to your selected speed setting.
