2022 Ford Bronco

One of the most sought-after SUVs of 2022, the Ford Bronco is a great drive whether you’re on or off-road. With extensive variations, features, and packages, it’s rugged enough to handle whatever you might throw at it but comfortable enough to give you a great ride. Here are the key features of the 2022 Ford Bronco.

Your Guide to the 2022 Ford Bronco

The 2022 Bronco is the sixth generation of a compact SUV that was originally released by Ford in 1966. It comes with three possible powertrains. The turbocharged 2.3l inline-four engine comes as standard, giving 300hp and 325lb-ft of torque. It can be coupled with either a 10-speed automatic transmission or a seven-speed manual gearbox for anyone who wants a truly nostalgic driving experience.

The larger 2.7l V6 engine is optional, comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and offers 330hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. And the Raptor trim features a twin-turbo 3.0l V6 with 418hp and 440lb-ft of torque. You have the choice of two or four-door models, removable roof and doors, and eight available trims. All models come with all-wheel drive as standard.

Extensive Trim Options

The eight-trim lineup makes it easier to customize your Bronco to suit you exactly, and to fine-tune your off-roading experience. Available models are:

  • Base
  • Big Bend
  • Black Diamond
  • Outer Banks
  • Badlands
  • Wildtrak
  • Everglades
  • Raptor

These allow you to choose between variations in the interior styling, 30 to 37-inch tires, and a wide range of off-roading technology and hardware. All models feature the normal, slippery, sand/snow, eco, and sport GOAT (Goes Over All Terrain) modes, with additional modes including rock crawl, mud/ruts, and baja for desert driving.

New for 2022

2022 saw a number of upgrades on the Bronco, but the most significant was the introduction of two new top-of-the-line trims, specifically configured for a better off-roading experience.

The Everglades

Fitted with four doors and the 2.3l four-cylinder engine, the Everglade features an air intake snorkel, heavy-duty front bumper, and a Warn winch kit that can pull 10,000lbs. It also has a 12-inch LCD touchscreen and seven GOAT modes.

The Raptor

The ultimate Bronco off-roader, the Raptor is the only model to come with the exclusive 3.0l powertrain. It also features a heavy-duty modular front bumper with Rigid fog lamps, full-vehicle heavy-duty steel bash plates, and 37-inch all-terrain tires. With Fox adaptive dampers and robust suspension, its wide-set build makes it both agile and stable on the most challenging terrain.

Equally satisfying to drive on the highway or on the trails, and with an effortlessly cool and nostalgic look, it’s no surprise that the Ford Bronco is in such high demand.
