There are two engine options, a 1.5-liter turbocharged Ecoboost engine or a slightly larger 2.0-liter turbocharged Ecoboost engine, both of which come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Trim levels, in order, are; Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. A five-star overall safety rating is awarded to the Bronco Sport in 2022 from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Standard features include roof rack side rails, a bottle-opener (located in hatch), pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping system, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, type C USB ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
